What is the closest airport to Parga in greece?

I have just got back from Ammoudia which is the beach before Parga (we went for lunch and a dip in the COLD sea – only 10 of us on a big beach!) a must visit if you hire a car in Parga (and I greatly urge you to do that).
The transfer from Preveza airport PVK (as said before) is approx 1 hr long an incredible scenic road – I was actually thinking on the road today that ‘this must be one of the prettiest transfers from an airport to a resort in Greece!’ It’s definitely the prettiest road I’ve ever been on in Greece! Sea on one side – mountains on the other (no drops or scary white knuckle turns!)
Parga is lovely but everywhere in Epirus is nice – I am so pleased I met (in Athens) a Preveza man and married him (I hadn’t heard of Preveza before then) I feel truly blessed to be living in what I think is the loveliest part of Greece (in all seasons) and I’ve been most places in Greece over the years!

ketilevedis – with age and extra weight you’ll fit fine on Ammoudia beach …. my husband calls it the beach for gogonas (spelling – mermaids). Because of the amount of women over a certain weight.. and age (me included). My friends and I take the kids for a few days (no men) every year … hubby says ‘ The gorgonas arrive for their yearly stay at Ammoudia – just like sardines that make their yearly journeys … see why he’s not invited!!!!
